The Department teaches community subjects for first, second, third, fourth, and fifth year students. It also teaches Nursing Administration, Teaching and Learning, and Scientific Research to the third year students.

Pediatric Nursing was established in 1956. In December 2012, it became a department in the Faculty of Nursing.

Antenatal Care, Labor and Post-natal, and Gynecology to the 3^rd year students; theoretical and practical.

The role of this Department is to teach the basics of nursing course as a basis for a solid start, in twosemesters.

It started as Medical Surgical Nursing Department, then separated in 2013 and became Surgical Nursing Department.
