It started as Medical Surgical Nursing Department, then separated in 2013 and became Surgical Nursing Department.

Responsibilities and activities:
1- Teaches Surgical Nursing 1 to the second year students in the first semester.
2- Teaches Surgical Nursing 2 to the second year students.
3- Teaches Applied Surgical Nursing to the fourth class in the second semester.
4- Teaches the fifth class students specializing in Medical Surgical Nursing.
5- Is responsible for training and supervision of master students specializing in Medical Surgical Nursing).
6- Is responsible for coordination and training for PhD degree in Surgical Nursing.
